Why Cognethics
One platform for every team's work — with AI that does the routine under limits you set, and a record you can prove.
Most companies run a dozen disconnected systems and bolt AI on top of each one. Cognethics is the other way around: a single platform that already holds the work of every department, with AI agents that act across all of it — and never outside the permissions, budgets, and audit trail you control.
It is in production today, in daily use by a live customer. Everything below describes what the platform does now — not a roadmap.
The problem we remove
Every team buys its own software. Finance has one tool, HR another, support a third, legal a fourth. The data never lines up, the integrations break, and "adding AI" means wiring a separate assistant into each silo — each with its own login, its own rules, and no shared memory. You end up paying for ten systems and the glue between them, and you still can't get one clean answer that spans the business.
What your business gets
The questions a CIO actually asks
Put these to any vendor pitching an AI platform — including us. Here are our plain answers.
| Your question | Cognethics |
|---|---|
| Are we locked to one AI vendor, or can we bring our own model? | Bring your own — commercial, open-source, or self-hosted. Switch anytime; nothing to rebuild. |
| Is our data really ours? Can we leave without a fight? | Yes. Export everything, anytime, in standard formats to your own storage. Your data is isolated to your organization. |
| Can we prove to an auditor what the AI did? | Every action is written to a tamper-evident record an auditor can verify independently — change one entry and the chain breaks. |
| What stops an agent from running up a huge bill or acting beyond its authority? | A hard spending limit enforced before it starts, and a required human sign-off for high-stakes actions. |
| Will it fit our identity and compliance stack? | Single sign-on with Okta, Microsoft Entra, Google, and others; security controls aligned to the SOC 2, HIPAA, and GDPR frameworks; data-processing and business-associate terms are handled during contracting. |
Built for the way you're held accountable
- Identity. Your team signs in through the identity provider you already use — Okta, Microsoft Entra, Google Workspace and others — with accounts created and removed automatically.
- Data ownership. Your data lives in the cloud region you choose and leaves whenever you want, in standard formats. No vendor holds it hostage.
- Proof. Every permission decision and agent action is recorded in a tamper-evident log — cryptographically linked so a single altered entry is detectable.
- Compliance. Security controls are aligned to the SOC 2, HIPAA, and GDPR frameworks. Data-processing and business-associate terms are handled during contracting, and the platform never trains on your data.
- Continuity. Your data is replicated across availability zones, with a standby kept ready in a second region. A formal uptime SLA is available to enterprise customers and is defined with you during contracting, matched to the assurances your business requires — talk to us to set the terms.
This is running today
Cognethics already operates a live customer in daily production use — one tenant holding hundreds of thousands of documents and millions of searchable passages. In a recent production run, an AI agent completed a multi-step finance review end to end for about six dollars against a ten-dollar limit, finishing in minutes, with every step recorded and verifiable.
More than 1,334 operational actions — plus full read-and-write access to every business record across 17 applications — run through one secured connection, with the same permission check applied to every call. The same platform that runs our first-party applications is the one you build on.
