These terms govern access to the Cognethics developer sandbox at developers.cognethics.com. Production deployment terms are negotiated per customer — reach out via the form below. By using the sandbox you agree to the terms below.

• Sandbox only. The sandbox is provided as-is for evaluation, prototyping, and development. It is not certified for production traffic, regulated data, PHI, PII, payment data, or any workload where downtime or data loss has business consequences.
• No SLA, no warranty. No availability commitment, no support SLA, and no warranty of any kind — express or implied — including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.
• Data may be wiped. Sandbox data, tenants, API keys, and uploaded artifacts may be reset, migrated, or deleted at any time. Do not store anything you cannot afford to lose. Keep your own backups.
• Fair use & abuse. No scraping, brute-forcing, reverse-engineering, attempts to bypass quotas or auth, distribution of malware, or use of the sandbox to attack third parties. Quotas, rate limits, and feature flags may change without notice.
• Permitted use & scraping. The /reference/ documentation surface is provided for human reading and individual API client discovery. Bulk scraping, automated mirroring, derivative-catalog creation, or systematic harvesting of /reference/handlers/, /reference/api/, or /reference/tools/ JSON endpoints is prohibited without prior written permission. AI agents performing normal MCP tool discovery (the standard tools/list JSON-RPC method against the live MCP server) are explicitly permitted; bulk crawling of the static catalog files is not. Cognethics may apply rate limits, IP-based throttling, or access revocation against accounts or addresses that exceed reasonable retrieval volume.
• Your data, your right to upload. You will not upload data you do not have the right to upload, and you grant Cognethics a limited license to process that data solely to operate the service.
• API keys. Your API keys are confidential — store them securely, rotate immediately if exposed, and use one key per environment. Cognethics may revoke any key, or sandbox access entirely, at any time and for any reason, with or without notice.
• Telemetry. Cognethics retains operational telemetry — request counts, latency, error rate, key usage, and audit logs — for capacity planning, abuse detection, and product improvement. We do not sell this telemetry.
• Replacement. Cognethics will publish binding Terms of Service before general availability and notify every active sandbox signup by email at least 14 days before the new terms take effect. Continued use after that effective date constitutes acceptance.
